It is with a heavy heart that we announce the Marstan Hotel will cease trading immediately.

As we are sure you are aware the last two years have been challenging with extended closures due to COVID and rising operating costs along with some unfortunate unforeseen circumstances. While we did what we could to adjust to the times we are sadly joining the number of small businesses closing our doors permanently. The Marston is now under the operation of a management company and the double blow of losing both our family home and our income will take some time to come to terms with.

We would like to thank all our guests for their patronage over the years and without you would not have made it this far. While many or you will feel a sense of sadness or disappointment we ask that you stay positive and continue to support hotels and businesses in Torquay and Devon.

The management company is planning to operate under a different model so we have been asked to cancel all bookings. While the Marstan does not take any deposits from you we are aware that third party companies can take money from you or hold your credit card details against bookings. We ask that you cancel your bookings as quickly as possible as we would not wish anyone to be out of pocket. Note that we cannot cancel third party bookings via booking.com or expedia, this has to be done by the person who booked.

Our email will remain valid for a short while although we no longer can access the telephones, should you have any issues we will try to assist where possible.
